Mahatma Gandhi

'Do or Die' (Karo ya Maro) slogan was given by Mahatma Gandhi in Quit India movement. When AICC (All India Congress Committee) formally adopted the resolution of 'Quit India' on 8th August 1942. Next day, Congress leaders including Mahatma Gandhiji were arrested and Gandhiji gave the call saying " Mere jail going would not do; do or die (Karo ya Maro); if a general strike becomes a dire necessity, I shall not flinch."
