Manual Scavenging
It's a caste-based occupation involving the removal of untreated human excreta from bucket toilets or pit latrines, that has been officially abolished by law in India as a dehumanizing practice. After wining the award Wilson told, the award will be more meaningful when the inhuman practice of manual scavenging is eradicated from the country.
