Crystal Palace
The original Crystal Palace was built in Hyde Park to house the Great Exhibition of 1851. After the exhibition ended the Palace was relocated to Penge Place at the top of Sydenham Hill, but elevated, redesigned, enlarged, and given two new large transepts and a new facade - effectively, although it borrowed in construction material from the original, a new building.
