These 3 chemical structures along with others are included in a general group known as Amino Acids i.e., they all have an amino (NH2) and an acid (COOH) group attached to a common central carbon atom which is also attached to variety of different and variable radical groups (-R).

For example: the general linear formula of an amino acid is R-CH(NH2)-COOH.
